Directors
Alan, known as Michael, is based in the Hereford office and founded Kidwells Solicitors in 2008. He holds a law degree from Derby and Wolverhampton universities and gained extensive experience as a solicitor across Herefordshire and the West Midlands before starting the business.
With over 15 years of legal expertise, Michael practices all areas of law offered by Kidwells. Alongside his legal career, he has founded several businesses and earned qualifications as an Ocean Yacht Master, Pilot, Skydiver, and Sea Diver.
Michael’s varied background gives him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by businesses, allowing him to guide clients with confidence and experience.
In his free time, he enjoys sailing and spending time with his family.
Alan Michael Kidwell-Horne, LLB (Hons)
Solicitor, Director, COLP - Hereford Office
Emily is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2020. Emily worked within a finance function for several years, before joining Kidwells. Her knowledge of how larger organisations are run influenced the growth of the Kidwells Group. Emily achieved an ACCA diploma in Accounting and Business, whilst managing the Marketing, Sales and Finance teams. In Emily’s free time, she enjoys playing netball, where she is chairman for the Herefordshire Netball League, and loves spending time with her friends and family.
Emily Horne AATQB
Operations Director, COFA - Hereford Office
Sarah is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2017. Sarah has over two decades worth of experience working within a law firm, and over 8 years at Kidwells. Sarah has a meticulous eye for detail, which allows her to ensure that all the Kidwells team are up to date with the best quality training, working efficiently and that the business is organised.

Practice Director - Hereford Office
Abby is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2021. After graduating from the University of Worcester with a First Class Law Degree, she has continued her professional development, completing both her Masters Degree and LPC at the University of Law whilst undertaking a Training Contract to become a Solicitor. Abby is a qualified solicitor and is Head of the Crime and Family departments at Kidwells. In Abby’s spare time, she loves baking and spending time with her dogs.

Legal Team
Alan is based in the Bristol office and began his journey at Kidwells in 2020. Alan founded several companies, building them from concept, and is now using his experience in business to support clients with their legal matters. In Alan’s spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar, keeping active and spending time with his family.

Trainee Solicitor (SQE) – Bristol Office
Caitlin is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2022. After graduating from Cardiff University with a First Class Law Degree, she continued her professional development by studying both her Masters Degree and LPC through the University of Law, whilst undertaking a Training Contract to become a solicitor. Caitlin qualified as a Solicitor in July 2025. In Caitlin’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Caitlin Abell
Trainee Solicitor – Hereford Office
Sofia is based in the Bristol office and began at Kidwells in 2025 after finishing a law degree at the University of Bristol. During her degree, Sofia worked at the university law clinic and is looking to further her experience before pursuing a training contract. In her spare time, she enjoys going to dance classes and spending time with friends.
Sofia Quaranta
Paralegal – Bristol Office
Jake is based in the Hereford office and began his journey at Kidwells in 2023. After graduating from the University of the West of England, Jake joined a team where he would hold free independent legal advice sessions for clients concerning Entertainment law. In Jake’s spare time, he is an avid Formula 1 fan and enjoys cross-country running.
Jake Nolan
Senior Paralegal – Hereford Office
Joanna joined Kidwells in 2024 as a senior paralegal and is based in the Bristol office. She graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2015 with a Bachelor of Law and has gained experience in different Civil Litigation areas over the past seven years including, personal injury, financial mis-selling and debt recovery. In her spare time, she likes to go for country walks with friends, baking and spending time with her dog, Dyson.
Joanna Schwemin
Trainee Solicitor (SQE) – Bristol Office
Anna-Mariya, based in the Hereford office, joined Kidwells in 2024. A Liverpool John Moores University graduate (2023), she is currently working in the Family department while pursuing her Master’s and LPC. Before Kidwells, she volunteered at Support Through Court, aiding individuals in civil and family proceedings, and contributed to one of Europe’s largest law clinics. In her free time, she enjoys being with friends and family.
Anna-Mariya Mandzik
Paralegal – Hereford Office
Toby is based in the Bristol office and began his journey at Kidwells in 2024. After graduating from the University of Law with a First Class Honours Degree, Toby joined the Bristol office as the Head of Conveyancing with several years of experience behind him dealing with Conveyancing transactions. In Toby’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Head Of Conveyancing (Bristol), Trainee Licensed Conveyancer
Tianna is based in the Bristol office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2024. She graduated from University of the West of England in 2021 with a 2:1 Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and is now studying towards her SQE qualification through an Apprenticeship, to become a Solicitor. In Tianna’s spare time she enjoys binge watching series, trying new foods and spending time with family.
Tianna Sampson
Apprentice Licensed Conveyancer - Bristol Office
Laura is based in the Hereford office and began her role as a Paralegal at Kidwells in 2024. She previously worked at Kidwells as a Legal Secretary until 2018, before starting a career in the housing sector. She has now returned to further her career in Law. In her spare time, Laura enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and baking with her children.
Laura Horne-Smith
Paralegal - Hereford Office
Elizabeth is based in our Bristol office and is a recent law graduate from the University of Exeter. She is eager to gain essential practical experience before pursuing a training contract. Outside of work Elizabeth enjoys staying active by going to the gym, exploring new hiking trails, and discovering new cuisines.

Legal Secretary – Bristol Office
Molly is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2025. Molly graduated from Cardiff University with a First Class Law and Criminology Degree in 2023, she has since gained valuable legal experience and is now completing her LPC at the University of Law whilst undertaking a Training Contract to qualify as a Solicitor.
In Molly’s spare time, she enjoys getting outside for runs and walking on the Malvern Hills, as well as spending time with her friends and family
Molly Capener
Trainee Solicitor - Hereford Office
Aleksandra joined Kidwells Bristol office in 2025. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from University of Leicester. With experience in conveyancing, Aleksandra is passionate about progressing in her legal career and is committed to continuous professional development. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, reading, and watching crime documentaries.

Niall is based in the Hereford office and began his journey at Kidwells in 2025. After graduating from the University of Kent with an Ancient History Degree, he has continued his professional development, completing a Masters of Art in Law at the University of Law.
In Niall’s spare time, he loves reading books and spending time with his family.
Niall Tudor
Paralegal
Sofya is based in the Bristol office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2025. After graduating from the University of Bristol with a Law Degree, she went on to complete the SQE, and achieved an LLM in Legal Practice at the University of Law. She is now undertaking a commercial paralegal role to become a Solicitor.
In her spare time, Sofya enjoys reading and hiking.

The Business Development Team
Jade is based in the Bristol office and started her career at Kidwells in 2022 as a Legal Secretary. During her time in this role, she gained a wealth of valuable skills and experience. Now, as a member of the Business Development team, Jade focuses on driving business growth and fostering strong partnerships within the community. Outside of work, Jade enjoys playing netball, spending time with her dogs, and indulging in delicious food!

Rees works in the Bristol office and began his journey at Kidwells in 2025. After many years working in London and Melbourne in similar client relation roles, he continues to grow his professional development and implementation of excellent client service relations.

Rees Gardiner
Client Relationship Executive - Bristol Office
Elliot is based in the Bristol office and began his journey at Kidwells in 2025. After graduating from the University of The West of England with a Law Degree, he spent numerous years working in hospitality and travelling and now aims to work back into the legal sphere.
In Elliot’s spare time, he enjoys training and competing in various sporting events.

Jenni is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2022. Jenni previously worked as a Paralegal, dealing with personal injury claims, before joining Kidwells. Jenni offers support to the legal team by helping them stay organised and keeping our clients informed. In Jenni’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Jodie is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2024. After working as a primary school teacher, Jodie moved to Hereford and looked for a career change and joined Kidwells as a legal secretary. In Jodie’s spare time she loves reading and spending time with family and friends.

Phoebe is based in the Hereford Office and began her journey at Kidwell’s in November 2024. After graduating from the University of Leicester with a Law Degree, she has stayed in the field of law, working as a Legal Secretary. Phoebe hopes to progress at Kidwells whilst continuing her professional development and completing the SQE.
In Phoebe’s spare time, she likes seeing her friends, walking her dog, and travelling new cities/countries.

Alexandra is based in the Bristol office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2025. After finishing her law degree at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2024, she gained some work experience at a boutique firm in London and is now looking to gain some experience before pursuing a training contract. In Alexandra’s spare time, she enjoys travelling to new places, doing yoga, and spending time with friends.

Emmy is based in the Bristol office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2025. After graduating from the University of the West of England, she has continued her professional development by working in the legal sector whilst pursuing part-time postgraduate research focusing on areas of criminal law. In her spare time, Emmy enjoys reading and hiking.

Legal Secretary - Bristol Office
Lily is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in 2025. She has recently graduated from the University of Worcester with a Law with Forensic Psychology degree and volunteered at her university’s legal advice clinic. She hopes to progress at Kidwells and undertake the SQE. In Lily’s spare time she likes to spend time with her dog and go on hikes.

Brittany is based in the Bristol office and joined Kidwells in 2025. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree in 2020, she is now looking to further her professional development within the legal sector. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Paige is based in the Hereford office and began her journey at Kidwells in June 2025. After many years of working as self-employed and having a background as a sales administrator, she is looking forward to this new opportunity and welcoming clients through the doors at Kidwells.
In Paige’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as her two dogs.

The Kidwells Solicitors accounts department is also supported by the team at Kidwells Accountancy, run by Kidwells Accounts Limited. Kidwells Accountancy operates independently and also offers accountancy and bookkeeping services to other clients.  Michael Horne is also owner of Kidwells Accountancy.
Marketing
Kidwells24 Limited is also part of the wider Kidwells group of companies. The K24 team works closely with the Solicitors to provide marketing advice, strategy, and day-to-day support such as website management, social media support, and more.
